Referral terms

Your firm receives the agreed fee monthly as eligible client payments are collected. Confirm the percentage, eligibility and covered services in writing before the engagement begins.

  • The agreed fee applies to eligible professional service fees from the initial contracted project.
  • Software licenses, taxes, travel and reimbursed expenses are excluded.
  • Payouts follow eligible cash collected, including partial invoice payments.
  • Future projects and recurring services require a separate compensation agreement.

Illustrative payout example

Assuming a separately agreed 10% referral fee on $20,000 of eligible services, the potential fee is $2,000. A $5,000 eligible client payment collected would produce a $500 payout. The actual percentage is negotiated; 10% is an example, not a confirmed rate.

For CPA firms: Confirm eligibility before agreeing to compensation. AICPA rules prohibit commissions for certain client relationships, including audit and review clients, and require written disclosure of permitted commissions and referral fees. Applicable state rules must also be checked. AICPA Code, sections 1.520.001 and 1.520.080 ↗

Scope & onboarding

Your team leads the overall project. We own the defined role or workstream. We can contract with and bill the client directly for our scope, or bill your firm under an agreed subcontract.

Agree on an hourly budget or fixed project fee before delivery. Specialist construction work, support, recovery and reserved capacity need a custom quote.

When partner specific setup is needed, we agree on a fixed onboarding fee for the initial team, preparation tasks and deliverables.

  • Implementation methodology, templates and documentation
  • Project management, time entry and support systems
  • Client communication and branding
  • Roles, approvals and escalation processes

Deliverables: a partner delivery playbook and initial team readiness checklist. Additional onboarding scope is agreed before further charges apply.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Pricing questions.

How are shared delivery and white label different?

Shared delivery: your team leads the project and Delta GAAP handles a defined part. White label: Delta GAAP fully assimilates into your team, works directly with your client under your brand and takes responsibility for the whole agreed project. The white label implementation rate reflects that broader responsibility.

Can shared delivery be billed to the client directly?

Yes. Delta GAAP can contract with and invoice the client for its defined workstream while your firm leads the overall project. If you prefer a subcontract, we can bill your firm instead. Agree on scope, client communication and billing before work begins.

How is white label delivery billed?

Your firm contracts with and invoices the client. Delta GAAP invoices your firm for full project delivery, using an agreed hourly budget or project fee. Where partner specific preparation is needed, a one time onboarding and alignment fee is quoted separately. Ongoing support and reserved capacity use separately scoped service agreements.

Is there a monthly membership fee?

No. Engagements are priced around the agreed work. Partner specific onboarding and alignment is a one time fee quoted to scope. Recurring support or reserved capacity may use a monthly service agreement with defined coverage, hours or responsibilities.

When does the onboarding fee apply?

It applies when the agreed initial consultant team needs preparation to work within your methodology, systems and client standards, particularly for white label or shared delivery. We review the required setup and agree on a fixed fee before starting.

What do we receive from onboarding?

The agreed team is oriented to your delivery process, systems, communication expectations and responsibilities. Deliverables include a documented partner delivery playbook and a readiness checklist for the initial team.

Is onboarding charged for every project?

The initial fee covers the team and setup scope named in the onboarding agreement. Any additional onboarding requirements are reviewed and agreed separately. Client project work has its own delivery scope and pricing.

Does onboarding reserve consultant hours?

Onboarding covers preparation. Named resources, committed start dates, delivery hours, response targets and reserved capacity must be defined in the relevant service agreement.

Can we set our own client price?

For an agreed subcontract or white label arrangement, your firm defines its client price and responsibilities under its own contract. Confirm scope, billing and any resale restrictions in the agreement.

What are the commitment and cancellation terms?

Payment timing, commitments, cancellation terms and any usage or rollover rules for purchased hour blocks are confirmed in the relevant agreement before work begins.

Does this include Sage or other software licenses?

Software licenses, taxes, travel and third party charges are separate from Delta GAAP’s service and onboarding fees unless expressly included in your quote.
